Lobbying:

  • Citizens Climate Lobby: focused on a short menu of Congressional actions: https://citizensclimatelobby.org/chapters/MN_Minneapolis/
(nationwide group – local chapters have access to training resources and guidance)
  • En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator:
“En-ROADS is a freely-available online simulator that provides policymakers, educators, businesses, the media, and the public with the ability to test and explore cross-sector climate solutions,” according to the website. Participants can “pull the levers” and have the option of drilling down to the underlying scientific explanations. Best used by trained moderators, it facilitates conversation about how, no matter what else is done to sequester carbon, we MUST get off of fossil fuels quickly to avoid adding more greenhouse gases, in order to reach the goal of no more than 1.5 degrees Celsius warming. Citizens Climate Lobby makes good use of this climateinteractive.org simulator.
